Astral BaseA PC gaming reference for Australian readers

World of Warships: what our source states, and what it does not

This is the only product entry on Astral Base. It is short on purpose. We describe the game only from the information supplied with the affiliate programme, list the questions that information leaves open, and show how to answer them yourself from the vendor's site.

Prepared by the BHP CONSULTING editorial team. Last reviewed 1 October 2026.

This page contains a paid link. Astral Base's publisher, BHP CONSULTING, is paid a commission by the advertiser's affiliate network when a reader follows the link below, downloads World of Warships, and creates and activates an account. Nothing is added to what you pay. The commission is the reason this entry exists; it does not change what the entry says. Details are on the affiliate disclosure page.

What our source states

Our source is the description supplied by the affiliate network that runs this programme. It is limited, and we have not added to it from memory or from other sites. Everything in the table below comes from that description.

World of Warships, as described by our source
QuestionWhat the source says
What kind of product is it?A game for desktop computers.
Which operating systems?Windows and Mac.
Linux?Not supported through this programme.
Phones and tablets? The programme is for desktop computers only.
How do you start?Download the game, then create an account and activate it.

The title suggests a naval setting. Our source does not describe the gameplay, so we do not describe it either; the vendor's own site is the place to see what the game involves.

What our source does not state

The more useful list is the one below: the questions a careful reader would want answered before signing up, which our source does not answer. We would rather say "not stated" than fill the gap with something we cannot stand behind.

About a new-player code

The affiliate network's material mentions a code for new players, with a stated end date of 31 January 2025. That date has passed. We therefore do not publish the code or describe what it offered, and nothing on this site should be read as promising a bonus of any kind. If the vendor runs a current offer, its own site is where it will be described. Be wary of any other site presenting an expired code as live, and never enter your login details on a page that promises items in return; see invite and bonus codes.

Checking it yourself: the procedure applied

The same seven-step check we describe on the home page applies here. Applied to this entry, it looks like this:

  1. Platform. Windows or Mac desktop: continue. Linux, phone or tablet: this link is not for you.
  2. Your specifications. Note your operating system version, processor, memory, graphics and free storage.
  3. The vendor's requirements. Find the requirements on the vendor's site and compare line by line.
  4. Disk space. Allow room for the installed game plus updates.
  5. Terms. Read the account terms, including the minimum age and any rules on sharing accounts.
  6. Classification. Search the Classification Board's database for the title.
  7. The shop. Before spending, identify what is sold and how, and work out prices in AUD.

Only once those are answered does it make sense to register. When you do, follow the sign-up sequence in our guide to game accounts and launchers: use an email address you will keep, a unique password, and turn on multi-factor authentication if the vendor offers it.

Questions to take to the vendor's site

Because our source answers so little, the most useful thing this entry can offer is a list of questions to look up on the vendor's own pages before registering:

If something goes wrong after signing up

Problems with the game, the account or a purchase are matters for the vendor, not for Astral Base; we have no access to the vendor's systems and cannot act on an account. Our guides on accounts and consumer rights explain how to raise an issue, and the Australian bodies to approach if it is not resolved.

Who this link is not for

Why this entry is on a glossary site

Astral Base covers one product because one product is the subject of our commercial arrangement. We say so on the about page, rather than presenting the site as a broad, independent survey of the market. The rest of the site, the glossary and the guides, is written to be useful with or without this entry, and does not refer to the product except where it explains that we state no classification or price for it.

If any fact on this page turns out to be wrong, or the vendor's own information contradicts it, the vendor's information is correct and we would like to know. Write to info@astralbase.online.
